Four readiness bands

Each dimension lands in a band, and so does the organisation. The organisation’s band comes from your lowest score, not your average, because that is the dimension actually setting your pace.

  1. Exploring

    Activity is happening, mostly individual and mostly invisible. Nothing yet that would survive a change of personnel.

  2. Emerging

    Deliberate effort in some areas, with real gaps in others. The organisation is moving faster than its weakest dimension can support.

  3. Establishing

    Both sides are moving together. Practice is consistent enough to scale, and the remaining constraint is known rather than discovered late.

  4. Embedded

    Readiness holds without being managed. New use cases inherit the capability, the governance and the judgement already in place.
